Very nice chair, with room for improvement
by MichaelIn general I do like this chair. While it has many things I love, there are several things that keep it from being something I'd recommend to a friend. For "pros", it looks nice and it's the best chair I've ever owned. It's comfortable and has enough adjustments to make it fit my workspace perfectly. That being said, there are some things that have been disappointing in my first few weeks of ownership. 1) The chair back is not square with the base. To say another way, when adjusted the same, one arm rest digs into the chair (right side) while the left side has a gap. I disassembled and re-assembled the chair to try to fix this, and only got it "better", but it's still not right. 2) the chair rocking mechanism squeaks. It's not the biggest problem in the world, but the squeak doesn't scream "quality" to me. 3) I really wish there was an adjustable lumbar support on this model. The chair is comfortable overall, but adjustable lumbar support would be a big improvement. 4) The arm rest padding is "ok", but most days I'm left wanting better. For the price I paid, I'm very happy with this chair! Had I paid MSRP, I would likely return it for a different option.
